It’s a time of year I’ve always loved—late-summer-blue skies, back-to-school sales, and the occasional hint of autumn in the breeze.
Oh, and my Passion Pursuit study!
Every fall and spring, I run a study of Passion Pursuit, by Linda Dillow and Juli Slattery.
Is Passion Pursuit for you?
Passion Pursuit is for Christian wives in generally healthy marriages. If you are in marriage that involves on-going unrepentant sin (such as abuse, porn addiction, or infidelity), please seek professional or pastoral counseling to address those issues before joining a Passion Pursuit study. Also, if you have experienced sexual trauma (such as sexual abuse, rape, or painful sex), you may not be ready for this study until you have begun to pursue healing from the trauma.
If you are a Christian wife who wants to learn God’s truth about sex and pursue sexual passion in marriage, this study is for you!
If you still aren’t sure, you can take this fun quiz to help you decide whether to sign up.
Although Passion Pursuit was designed as a face-to-face group study, it works well online, too.
Here’s what you get as part of my study:
- Be part of a private group of women who want to grow in sexual intimacy through the Passion Pursuit study.
- Receive weekly posts packed full of information about the upcoming chapter.
- Get daily study questions to think about and discuss with each other.
- Get daily opportunities to connect with other women in the group.
A New Place
For the first time, this fall’s study will take place within my Honeycomb & Spice community.
In the past, I’ve used a secret Facebook group for the study. It’s convenient, because so many of us are already there. However, it’s far from ideal.
Some women are not on Facebook, or they share an account with their husband, or they simply don’t want to discuss sexual intimacy there. Every time I’ve run the study, I’ve been contacted by women who want to participate but just aren’t comfortable doing so on Facebook.
Even more than that, Facebook doesn’t seem to be the best place to engage in a study. The study questions and community engagement are important aspects of the study. They work best when you can be prayerful and thoughtful. I don’t know about you, but when I’m on Facebook, I’m frequently (okay, constantly) distracted by notification messages and silly memes. It’s a struggle for me to be prayerful and thoughtful there.
Plus, I really love the Honeycomb & Spice community. It’s a women-only place for real conversations about sex. In addition to the study’s content, women who join will also benefit from being in a place where they can get comfortable communicating with others about their struggles—and successes!—related to sexual intimacy.
Not being on Facebook, we have to be intentional about visiting the community. To help keep the study on your radar, I’ll notify you of weekly encouragement posts as well as the daily study questions.
How to Sign Up
I am asking group participants to pay $12 for the study to help cover my extensive time and some costs. However, I don’t want the cost to be a barrier to any woman. If the money is an issue, please let me know when you sign up and I will waive the fee.
Your first step is to join the Honeycomb & Spice community. Membership is just $1.99 a month or $19.99 for a full year. (You’ll need to be part of the community for four months for the study, so if you don’t want to commit to a full year, choose the monthly subscription.)
Once you’re a member of Honeycomb & Spice, visit the Passion Pursuit Group Study page. You’ll find a bit more information about the study (including some dates and links to purchase the book).
To sign up, you’ll need to complete the registration form at the bottom of that page.
If you aren’t quite ready to do the Passion Pursuit study yet, consider joining the Honeycomb & Spice community. You can read more about the community here.
