It’s almost the middle of September, which means that some great stuff is just around the corner!
Two Opportunities for Next Week
Time is running out for you to sign up for two awesome opportunities.
1. Passion Pursuit Study
I run this 10-week study only twice a year, and the next time won’t be until February or March of next year. The Fall 2019 study begins NEXT WEEK. Be sure to sign up to join us as we learn about God’s design for sex, the lies we believe, dealing with sexual sin, forgiving, embracing our sexuality, and more.
2. Foreplay Webinar
The Sex Chat for Christian Wives podcast team has a webinar coming up next week, on September 19, and it’s all about foreplay. We’ll talk about erogenous zones, foreplay techniques to use on your husband, foreplay techniques that are good for you, and how to communicate with your husband about what would help make sex good for you.
If you missed our webinar on Understanding Your Sex Drive, you can purchase the replay.
Husbands don’t need to feel left out. We have a webinar just to help guys understand your sex drive in November.
An On-going Opportunity
Have you noticed the Questions for Chris link in my blog sidebar?
It’s a place for you to ask questions anonymously. Some of my blog posts this year have been based on submissions, and I’d like to do even more of those posts.
If you have a question you’d like me to address in a future blog post, just click on the link and share what’s on your heart.
A note for guys: You’re welcome to submit questions, too—but remember that my blog is for women. I’m going to respond to these questions with your wife in mind, and I’ll be addressing her, not you.
Extra: A Life Update
When I began my summer blogging break, I shared with you that my husband had been out of work. I want to express my deep gratitude for the messages, prayers, and donations you have sent me over the past few months. I cannot begin to express the encouragement that brought to my husband and me. The donations were enough to help us stay afloat over the summer. The timing of all these things was clearly God’s. Every time I was at my lowest, the most heart-felt message would arrive. When I didn’t know how to pay the next bill, I would receive just enough money to cover it. God’s care—and yours—sustained us.
Unfortunately, my husband has not yet found a job, despite hard work on his part and quite a few interviews. We’ve made the decision to move to Illinois to live with his dad. My husband has good job prospects there, so this will be a fresh start for us. More importantly, the move will allow us to care for his dad and avoid assisted living, at least for a while.
Although the move will ultimately be a good thing, right now it is hard. This move puts us farther away from our kids (all grown), and it pulls us away from the church that has become a home. I would appreciate continuing prayer as we prepare for this change.
Extra Extra: Another Update
I am finally making progress on my first book. The going is slow, but it’s still progress. I hope to be able to share more in a month or two. I’m very excited to see this project take shape. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the update.
Although I haven’t sent a financial contributions, I’m praying for you both. Recently I’ve started making a more conscious effort to pray more. I have an office job down in the basement. I go on mini walks every 90 minutes or so. I have it scheduled in Outlook so I don’t forget. On the appointment reminder I have several things I pray about. The walk takes 2-3 minutes and I pray about 1 item on the list as I walk.
I understand about moving away from your church and farther from your kids.
I’ll include that as I pray for you and Big Guy.
Prayer has made such a huge difference for us this summer. Thank you for praying for us.
We will continue to keep praying for you and your husband.
