Where My Heart Is

Of all my blog posts, this is the one that most shows where my heart is for this ministry.

I’m at the Declare Conference for Christian women communicators. As I’ve been preparing to learn and plan with the Sex Chat for Christian Wives podcast team, I’ve been reflecting on the ministry God has built over the past several years.

What began as just a blog has slowly grown in new directions. The podcast is one direction. My Facebook groups and studies are another. Yet the same thing is at the heart of it all.

Dear Sister

Four years ago, I sat at my computer. I asked God to help me write a post. I closed my eyes and began typing.

What flowed from my fingers and heart and onto the screen was my post Dear Sister.

I can look at it now and think of what I would do differently if I were writing it today—yet I don’t want to change a thing in it. It was the first one of my posts where I had a deep awareness of God’s presence in the post. Of all my posts, it is the one that best captures what I see as ministry here.

Here is my heart: I want to help Christian wives who are struggling with sex.

Rather than write a new post for today, I want to encourage you go read Dear Sister.

Dear Sister

This post shows where my heart is more than any other post does. It is where this ministry began. It continues to guide what I do here.

I write for Christian wives struggling with sex.

It’s where my heart has always been.

Of all my blog posts, this is the one that most shows where my heart is for this ministry.
